1. The Largeness Of Harvest - "the harvest is great"
The field is the world. Ripened and abandoned. Will be lost except for reapers.
2. The Lack Of Harvesters. "the laborers are few"
Even though he had sent 12 and now 70 there are so few to what is needed.
3. The Lesson Of Harvest. "pray ye..."
One of the disciples' lessons. Prayer is crucial. It is Christ's method for increasing the supply of laborers.
4. The Lord Of Harvest. "the Lord of harvest"
Is Christ. He is our commander in chief. He is ever with us. He is interceding for us.
5. The Lifting Of Harvesters. "that he would send forth"
This literally means to drive out, to push out or draw out. This the Lord wants to do from our churches. We must pray, preach and prepare.
6. The Laboring of Harvest. (vs 3-16)
They go two by two. Everyone needs a helper, a team mate, a counselor.
7. The Law Of Harvest. (vs 17; Psalm 126:6)
If we go, we will get the harvest.
