    When I established Baptist Evangelism years ago I purposed to pursue New Testament ministry and missions. I believed my ministry would be best if it was truly biblical. I personally am not highly gifted, therefore I believe that in order to have God’s power I want to work in God’s way. With Baptist Evangelism I have tried to recapture the spontaneity which existed in the New Testament.

    Our churches should be apostalic churches. The root of that word means “sent one - with message.” As I read the Word of God I was always impressed by It became my belief that churches should plant churches and if churches were not part of a church planting venture that there was some short coming in that church. This church planting was to be done by means of intentional discipleship.

     The church without discipleship is unhealthy. I believe it is not possible to see the needs of the world from inside four walls or from behind your desk. We must get out, lift up our eyes and see as Jesus saw. He had the kind of compassion that we must also have.

      The mission of the church is found in the mission of God. He is the one who calls. We must stop doing ministry by addition and start doing ministry by multiplication. We must win people then train them to win others. Our church must be planted to plant other churches. Probably every week a church must renew itself toward the mission of the Commander in Chief or it unconsciously (by default) finds that it has turned against the mission to which it was sent.

The goal is not numerical, but spiritual and biblical.
